In the 70’s OETTINGER developed the first ever 16V engine, the basis of which powered the GTI version of the Golf I which conquered the world. This development, remains to this day the epitome of all tuning GTI’s. Since this time the people at OETTINGER have demonstrated a particular affinity to the Golf GTI, as so much company history is contained in the basic concept of this vehicle.

With skilful modifications, the engineers at OETTINGER help the latest version of the GTI from Wolfsburg, the „Edition 35“, to an increase in power from 173 kW (235 PS) > 228 kW (310 PS) that allows the needle of the speedometer to shoot round to over 260 km/h (160 mph). This noticeable increase in power together with the improved torque of 420 Nm / 310 lb/ft (standard 300 Nm / 221 lb7ft) accelerate the OETTINGER GTI Edition 35 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 6,0 seconds (standard 6,6 s).

The performance enhancement via the OBD port will be available shortly for 1 390.00 Euro from your OETTINGER Performance Centre or directly from OETTINGER. Further development stages for the 2.0 l TSI engine as well as many other technical accessories, such as sports clutches, high performance brakes, intercoolers and much more will be available from September.
